Loading warm or non-precooled product into a ColdBox chiller or freezer trailer creates a large, immediate heat load that the refrigeration system cannot remove quickly enough. The result is an unwelcome temperature rise, longer pull-down times, product quality risk and, often, expensive spoilage.
